Autumn Horn is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in / focused on a variety of mood disorders and anxiety disorders, substance abuse and other addictions, and trauma informed care, conducting both individual and couples/family therapy. Autumn has experience working with clients between the ages of 10 through 70+ with an inclusive approach to differing cultural backgrounds and how clients identify.
Autumn utilizes a person-centered approach, meaning her goal is ensure each client feels heard, validated, and understood first and foremost. For treatment modalities, Autumn typically focuses on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) which helps identify and reframe negative thoughts that impact mood and behavior, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which can help with managing emotions and strengthen interpersonal relationships, Illness Management and Recovery skills (IMR) to help clients understand their diagnoses and effectively manage symptoms in a personalized manner, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to hone in on values and set value-based goals to overcome challenges.
Autumn has previous experience in private practice settings as well as in outpatient rehab facilities for both mental health and addictions. Autumn has experience providing individual, couples and family, and group therapy. While also in pursuit of being dually end-licensed as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Autumn is currently practicing as a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor.
